Description:
The children will make musical instruments using recyclable products and "trash" from around the room.
Goals:
The children will be able to make a musical instrument using recyclable trash from a pile in the classroom.
Objectives:
The students will make a musical instrument of their choice, whether real or imaginary from a pile of recyclable trash in the classroom. These things could include bottles, cans, paper boxes, or plates.

Scissors
tape
glue
recyclable bottles, cans, cardboard boxes or any other clean "trash"

Activity Plan:
The children will gather around the tables that are covered with recyclable trash and other materials to make musical instruments. They will be able to be creative and given no guidelines or examples to make an instrument. They will be provided glue, tape and markers to color and decorate their instruments. After the instruments are complete, the children can parade around and show off the instruments to other groups or classes.
