Goals:
Students will increase their awareness of the many characters in The Westing Game and their roles in the novel.

Activity Plan:
After chapters 9 or 10, basic characterization has been introduced in the book, The Westing Game. The many and confusing characters must be discussed in class after each chapter.
Students will be assigned to either study the characters and then use the worksheet as a quiz, do it as a class assignment, or as homework.
This lesson was co-taught in a regular education classroom by a 6th grade teacher and a resource room teacher. It was planned to accommodate the needs of several identified exceptional students for more practice and repetition in understanding the roles of the many characters.
