Description:
Using the WE Energies website the students will calculate how much energy is used in various home appliances. They will also calculate how much money is saved by turning these appliances of when not in use.
Goals:
- Increase awareness of the number of appliances the students use every day and the cost to run each of them.
- Have them consider saving energy by turning these appliances off when not in use.
Objectives:
- Calculate energy usage of various aplliances.
- Rank the energy usage of these appliances.
- Calculate the energy savings in turning these appliances off at night.
