Description:
This activity produces a wonderful Christmas present to take home for families that incorporates great practice in following directions.
Goals:
Make a Christmas present for a family member.
Objectives:
The students will follow directions to make a Christmas wreath ornament.
Educational Resources:
a 4" circle pattern
oaktag
red and/or green felt
puzzle pieces
glue
red and green spray paint
miniature bows
Christmas ribbon

spray glitter

Activity Plan:
Trace the circle pattern on oaktag and cut out.
Glue puzzle pieces onto the oaktag circle. Glue another layer of puzzle pieces on top of the first layer. Glue another layer on top of the second layer. Turn each layer in opposite direction to make 3d appearance.
Spray paint puzzle piece covered oaktag circle with red or green spray paint. Let dry.
Cut out a red or green felt circle to fit wreath. Glue a picture of the student in the center. Glue a piece of looped Christmas ribbon to the top. Glue the felt to the back side of the puzzle wreath. Glue a miniature bow on the wreath. Spray the wreath with spray glitter.
